Initial Ideas

Initial ideas
After brainstorming for ideas, I knew that I wanted my project to contain a new technology that I have not used combined with my current skill set within web development and various other areas. I know I will be creating a service of some kind where the end user benefits from its creation.

Inspirations
A big inspiration for my idea to use augmented reality came from the movie In Time where time is the currency and  this is viewed in a cybernetic way  on your forearm, at first I wanted to re-create this however soon I understood that it was not plausible and would struggle with a proof  of concept.

Idea #1
A mobile web application built in node.js where users can track their daily targets, set goals as well as communicate with other users on the platform, each user will have a rank/reputation depending on how many of their goals they have achieved.

Idea#2
A web application built using ThreeJS, an update for my portfolio website to display and showcase my work, ThreeJs is a language that I have not used before and think this would be an exciting project to hone my web developing skills.

Idea#3
A health orientated mobile application where you can track your daily intake of calories, and measure heart rate, sleeping routine as well as other statistics about your body.

Final Idea:
After refining my third idea I have decided on creating a health orientated mobile application which will work along side AR technology, I aim to do this with a variety of softwares such as nodejs, wikitude sdk. I will be creating a user interface to display statistics about your health, such as heart rate, caloric intake, calories burned, sleeping routine and more, this information is displayed on your forearm through a mobile application and augmented reality. My target audience is that of millennial's who have a healthy lifestyle. The use of the biometric tattoo is a safe guard and will act as the pass code to view your statistics, this helps prevent the theft of any data.

User Scenario 1: "John is out on his early morning run and has a target of burning 300 calories before he heads out to work, John has already installed the PLACEHOLDER application and has configured his biometric tattoo. 30 minutes into his run John decides to open the application to  view how many calories he has burned, after running the application, he points it towards his wrist with his personalised tattoo and instantly is able to view his heart rate and burned calories in augmented reality".

User Scenario 2: "Rebecca is a 22 year old university student who spends most of her time studying and working out, she has recently been struggling to manage her time well and finds herself exhausted during her lectures, sometimes even falling asleep. After being told by a friend she installed the PLACEHOLDER application, after configuring her biometric tattoo she soon discovers that she can track her sleeping pattern and set daily tasks within the application. After doing so, she then points her phone towards  her arm to be greeted by a user interface which displays her to do list and how long before she must go to bed."

First Concept:
For my first concept I wanted to get across the idea and perhaps how the user interface and experience will work, as I know for the application to be practical, the camera must display and scan for the tattoo as soon as the application is launched, to ensure that the user is not wasting time, as I want to create a seamless user experience, where a user can use the application while out on a run for example.
